Ever since I first heard about this in my local newscast I was all for it. This is a message that needs to be sent.

I’ve heard of this, and wasn’t sure if I wanted to see it, but watching the preview, i am crying.

This movie was rated R by the MPAA.

Weird, right? Considering the people who need to see this film are mainly under 18.

My friends and many other people have started petitions to lower the rating.

((I wouldn’t normally reblog unrelated things, but this hit home. There were tears in my eyes, and that doesn’t happen often. I’m 18. I’ve been in education since 3, that’s 15 years. I’m in my first year of college and this is the first year I haven’t been bullied. I’ve been called everything, been pushed, punched, kicked, spat at, I’ve almost had my waist length hair cut off, I’ve been attacked by a group of thirty, had glass bottles thrown at me… This film won’t come out in the UK, but I urge all my American followers to see it.))

This would be a very good initiative for bully issue everywhere

… I teared up watching this. I know how it feels to some extent. People need to see this. 

[And why is this R-rated? As Hank mentioned, are they trying to protect us from emotion? These things are happening in real life; kids are killing themselves because of bullying. And the people who need to see this are often children. They need to open their eyes and see how things really are. Violence isn’t so much the issue in this rating — there are a lot of violent movies that have lower ratings. It’s the psychological and emotional implications that seems to be the reason for the rating.

BUT PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS. Look into the lives of those you ruin. ]
